Privacy: connecting Kitabh to AI assistants
Last updated: 23 October 2026
This page covers the Kitabh connection at mcp.kitabh.com, which lets a Kitabh writer connect their account to an AI assistant such as ChatGPT or Claude. The Kitabh privacy policy covers everything else.
Who can connect
Only the owner of a Kitabh account on a paid plan. You sign in with your email and a one-time code; we never ask for a password.
What the assistant can read
Only your own data: your newsletters, your articles (including drafts), statistics on views, likes and comments, email performance, followers, and your subscriber list with each subscriber's email engagement. It cannot see any other writer's data.
What the assistant can change
Three things, each started by you in the conversation: create a new draft, import your articles from another platform as drafts, and mark subscriber addresses that keep bouncing so they stop receiving email. Nothing is published, sent or deleted.
Where your data goes
- When you ask a question, the data needed to answer it is sent to the assistant you connected and handled under that company's privacy policy (OpenAI for ChatGPT, Anthropic for Claude).
- Sign-in codes are emailed through our email provider.
- The connection runs on Vercel and reads from Kitabh's database.
- Kitabh does not sell this data or use it for advertising.
What we keep
The connection does not store your conversations or the answers. Access stays active while you are connected. Standard server logs are kept for a short period for security.
Subscribers' data
Subscriber emails and engagement belong to the writer's newsletter. The writer decides what to ask about them, and the same rules as in Kitabh apply.
Disconnecting
Remove Kitabh from your assistant's connector or plugin settings at any time. To cancel access straight away, email support@kitabh.com.
